Marvel’s Thunderbolts MCU (as we know it)

The Marvel cinematic universe has already created several characters that may be part of the future Love at first sight crew. One of the thrills at MCU was watching several of the best Marvel superheroes come together to save the world. However, phase 4 of the MCU can grow until the first team of villains. There are many rumors that the Thunderbolts will be formed with the characters of 2008 The Incredible Hulk movie on Falcon and winter soldier already entered.

The Thunderbolts were created at Marvel Comics as part of Baron Zemo’s latest master plan for world domination. When several key members of the Avengers in Assault The Zemo event brought together Masters of Evil participants to do the unexpected, to protect the world. Well-known criminals have adopted new costumes and images to gain the trust of the public and the government. However, some participants became more interested in their new heroic activities, which led to a split within the team. Even after the truth about the Thunderers was revealed, they were reinvented several times. At the moment, most of Marvel’s greatest villains – and even a few heroes – have been associated with the team at one time or another.

Although Marvel is not actively promoting Thunderbolts MCU settings and tips, they have done a lot of work to make this possible as soon as possible. Several members of the original Thunderbolts team have not yet made their MCU debuts, but that can’t stop Marvel Studios from introducing the team. Several characters associated with the Thunderers have already been introduced. Whether they’re all part of the original team or evolving as the list changes, these villains or antiheroes may well be part of the Thunderbolts MCU.

Thunderbolt Ross / Hulk red

Thaddeus “Thunderbolts” Ross (William Hurt) was part of the MCU almost from the beginning. He first appeared as a general in the army The Incredible Hulk but he was not seen again for eight years. After his return to Captain America: Civil War, the new Secretary of State played an important role in shaping the Sochi MCU agreements and overseeing the Avengers. Ross could be seen several times in phase 4, including in the Disney + series She-Hulkbecause then he will finally become the Red Hulk.

However, this was complicated by the death of William Hurt in March 2022. It is possible that the actor could still appear in She-Hulk if he has already shot his scenes, but the future of the character certainly seems in jeopardy, as the reworking of such a recognizable role may not work. Since Ross (as the Red Hulk) founded the Marvel comics version of Thunderbolts, which featured Punisher, Deadpool, Electra, Agent Venom, etc., it was expected that he would be the one to form a team in the MCU. However, the film “Thunder Swamps” without Thaddeus Ross could still work, as the MCU gradually introduced an effective replacement, Valentina Allegro from Fontaine.

Valentina Allegra de Fontaine

Although Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is not as well known as Thunderbolt Ross, she worked at the MCU during Phase 4. In particular, she appeared in Falcon and winter soldier to recruit John Walker and probably push him to become a US agent, and also met Elena Belova at Natasha’s grave at the end Black widow. Apparently, for some reason, it gathers troubled heroes / antiheroes, but it is unknown at this time whether it is the first complete iteration of the team of the Thunderbolts or the Dark Avengers. It could also be both, as the last team was the first evolution since the Skrulls invaded Marvel comics.

Baron Zemo

If Marvel forms the Thunderbolts, Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) will inevitably play a key role. Zemo founded Thunderbolts in comics and regularly participates in various team installations. According to one version, he led the Thunderbolts as a group tasked with hunting rogue heroes and villains during Civil War. Zemo has been part of the MCU ever since Captain America: Civil War and found genius in manipulating the Avengers, especially Captain America and Iron Man, to break them. Falcon and winter soldier saw him temporarily team up with Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), and Zemo’s return to the MCU is likely to continue where the series left off; as it ended with John Walker taking the supersoldier’s serum, this will make him a target for Zemo in the future.

Black Widow (Elena Belova)

Marvel’s first film, Phase 4, introduced the Black Widow’s sister, Elena Belova (Florence Pew), starting with what appears to be a significant future for the MCU. Although she is not a villain, Elena’s past as a Russian spy and a Red Room graduate may prevent her from being seen as the heroine of the general public. So is the appearance of Helen Hawk’s eye to adjust the possibility of her continuation in the role of anti-hero, which will probably lead her to the path of the Thunderbolts. In the comics, Helen was part of the Thunderbolts, although that was at a time when Natasha accepted her identity and used it to infiltrate a team led by Norman Osborne. But Elena’s future MCU is after Hawk’s eye he could also see her taking off the Black Widow’s robe and becoming a real hero instead.

MCU has introduced another possible member of Thunderbolts The Ant Man and the Wasp with Ava Starr, aka Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen). She was cast as a villain, but eventually it turned out that she no longer understood the antihero. Ghost was part of several Thunderbolts comic book teams, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Marvel Studios decided to stick to the source material. John Kamen has already expressed interest in being part of a possible formation. The Ant Man and the Wasp has already established the fact that Ghost worked for SHIELD on secret missions, so it could be recruited back to Thunderbolts if it has ties to the government.

Taskmaster was introduced to MCU thanks Black widow, and Antonia Draykova, a woman under a mask, could also be part of the Thunderbolts. A skilled mercenary, the taskmaster has some connection to the MCU Red Room, and is a comic priority for a character who joins a team of villains. Although short-lived, Tony Masters (the secret face of Taskmaster in comics) helped train recruits in the Thunderbolts initiative, led by Norman Osborne. With the ability to perfectly replicate any style of combat or movement, Taskmaster’s unique abilities are the perfect skill set for any Thunderbolt mission.

“Thunderbolts” may also be an opportunity to bring back one of the (almost) forgotten villains of Marvel, Emile Blonsky, known as the Abomination (Tim Roth). His first appearance in the MCU gained The Incredible Hulk, although one of the Marvel One-Shots movies later confirmed that it was locked up on the top-secret SHIELD base. After a jump in time Avengers: FinalIt has been more than 15 years since Abomination was seen in the universe until it appeared Shang Chi and the legend of the ten rings. Now Blonsky has to reappear in the Disney + series She-Hulk. Due to these modern developments in the MCU, Abomination’s chances of staying in the MCU seem quite solid. And since the World Security Council originally wanted Abomination on the Avengers, it would not be surprising that an official recruited him for the Thunderbolts. This would be a departure from comics, as Abomination has never been an actual member of Thunderbolts, but that shouldn’t stop Marvel Studios.

american officer

John Walker first came to the MCU as a government replacement for Captain America Falcon and winter soldier. However, Walker was less heroic and was more of an antagonist of Sam and Bucky than anything else. At the end of the series, Walker resigns from the army with honor, he is injected with serum of a supersoldier, he is clearly unstable, and Val turns to him to wear a new coat: an American agent. These dark events seem to make him a great candidate for the Thunderbolts, although in the comics the US agent has never been part of the Thunderbolts and fought with them several times.

Everything we know about Marvel’s Thunderbolts

After all, this casting of MCU Thunderbolts is only hypothetical. The list for which comic book antiheroes are suitable for the film has not yet been announced, as well as the list of actors who play them. However, it has been confirmed that the MCU Thunderbolts film is officially being shot and will be directed by Jake Schreyer. Eric Pearson, who wrote Black widowworking on a script. The release date of MCU’s Thunderbolts is also unknown at this time, but it is unlikely to be before 2024. However, when they arrive, the MCU Love at first sight will definitely cause a stir.
